AIM is all about people-centered living. Trainings are focused on how to help individuals live their best lives. Employees feel fully supported by co-workers and supervisors.

Rewarding work with flexible hours
Community habilitation jobs are rewarding, flexible and enjoyable. Good benefits such as overtime, holiday pay and flexible hours. Compensation is very good with fantastic work-life balance.

Understaffing and mandatory overtime
There isn't enough staff for the number of consumers supported. Managers are mandated to work various positions, sometimes up to 70 hours per week but only paid for 40 hours.

Lack of communication and no accountability
Flexible hours and decent pay are positives, but there is lack of communication, no accountability, and no protection for employees. Very stressful environment at times.

Self-Direction staff feel unsupported
Agency is not inclusive. Self-Direction staff receive little to no communication and are often stuck with clients' parents who are controlling and verbally abusive.

Work is extremely rewarding, but compensation is not appropriate. Staff are often under-appreciated and expected to sacrifice their personal lives for the job.

Short staffing is consistent
Communication is lacking and short staffing is consistent. Employees are constantly asked to pick up additional shifts. Good mission but operational challenges are significant.
