About The Jericho School
The Jericho School was a Jacksonville, FL nonprofit private school (founded 1995) serving children and young adults with autism, ages roughly 3 to 22, using Applied Behavior Analysis and B.F. Skinner's Verbal Behavior framework at a 2:1 student-teacher ratio. The school permanently closed on October 20, 2025 after the federal government shutdown disrupted funding and delayed insurance reimbursements it relied on to serve military families, leaving an operating deficit the nonprofit could not overcome. The abrupt closure displaced 27 enrolled families.
