About Applied Behavior Center for Autism - Greenwood Southside
Applied Behavior Center for Autism (ABC) is Indiana's longest-running ABA therapy provider, founded in 1997 by Sherry Michael after her son's 1995 autism diagnosis. The Greenwood Southside location is a 14,000 sq. ft. facility at 374 Meridian Parke Lane, Greenwood, IN, serving children from early childhood through teens with center-based ABA therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, diagnostic testing, and social skills programs. The organization operates 17+ centers across Indiana with over 200 employees, and its founder was instrumental in passing Indiana's Autism Insurance Mandate. ABC maintains an in-house research department and offers a structured 7-level therapist and 8-level BCBA career progression system. In 2023, the company agreed to a $2 million civil settlement with the U.S. Attorney's Office related to alleged upcoded TRICARE and Medicaid billing claims, though no patient harm was found.
