When Dar-Lyn Pribble struggled to find the right agency to support a loved one with a disability, she educated herself by attending training courses offered by the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD), gaining experience as a behavior assistant and supported living coach. In 2007, she left her corporate job and established Always Promoting Independence with just two staff members and her kitchen as the first office. Under her leadership, API has grown into an organization of over 67 dedicated professionals.
