About The Ivymount School
The Ivymount School is a nonprofit, non-public special education day school founded in 1961, serving students ages 4-21 with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, and other developmental disabilities from the Washington DC metro area. Instruction integrates Applied Behavior Analysis, systematic teaching, and data-based programming across classroom, school, and community settings, with a related-services team providing speech-language, occupational, and physical therapy. Its parent organization, Ivymount Organization, also operates The Maddux School (early childhood general education) and Outreach/Community programs, including home-based ABA program development and supervision.
