About The Center for Autism
Founded in 1955 by child psychiatrist Bertram A. Ruttenberg, M.D., The Center for Autism is the oldest specialized autism center in the nation. Now operated as a program of Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC), a Philadelphia-area nonprofit, it provides autism evaluations, ABA-based early intervention, social skills programming, outpatient mental health services, and pre-vocational/independent living support across two Philadelphia locations.
