About The Burkard School
The Burkard School is a small independent K-8 nonprofit school in San Mateo, California, serving bright, neurodivergent children who need extra support with self-regulation, executive functioning, and social-emotional learning. Classes are capped at ten students and each classroom pairs a teacher with a classroom behaviorist; a BCBA-led Director of Behavior oversees the school's behavioral support programming, and services also include social groups, executive functioning coaching, a summer camp, and home behavioral support.
