About The Birchtree Center
Birchtree (formerly The Birchtree Center) is a Portsmouth, NH-based nonprofit that operates New Hampshire's only year-round special-education day school exclusively for children and youth with autism (grades preK-12), alongside a New England-wide outreach program providing behavior consultation, coaching, and staff training to schools, families, and adults. Founded in 2001, the organization is led by Executive Director Dr. Sandra Pierce-Jordan and staffed by BCBAs, RBTs, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists.
