Sheppard Pratt is the largest private, nonprofit provider of mental health, special education, substance use, developmental disability, and social services in the U.S., founded in 1853 and headquartered on its Towson Campus in Baltimore, Maryland. It operates 160+ programs across Maryland, including a Center for Autism providing diagnostic evaluation and case management, developmental/intellectual disability services, an Intellectual Disabilities and Autism inpatient unit, and Sheppard Pratt Schools for special education.
