About CREC River Street School
River Street School is a specialized day school operated by CREC (Capitol Region Education Council), a Connecticut Regional Educational Service Center, providing individualized academic, behavioral, and life-skills instruction using ABA-based programming for students ages 3-22 with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental, behavioral, and complex medical needs. Founded in 1963, it joined CREC in 1972 and now operates multiple River Street sites (School, Preschool/Early Learning Center, Autism Program, and Outreach Program) across Windsor and Bloomfield, CT.
