Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) is one of six Connecticut Regional Educational Service Centers (RESCs), founded in 1966 to serve 35 member school districts in the Greater Hartford region. CREC operates 18 interdistrict magnet schools and specialized programs, including the River Street Autism Program (Bloomfield) and River Street School (Windsor), which deliver ABA-based, BCBA-supervised programming for students with autism spectrum disorder ages 3-22.
