Better Speech & Swallow Corporation is a small speech-language pathology private practice founded by Karen J. Sowers, MS, CCC-SLP in 2005. The practice serves Frederick, MD and the greater Baltimore area, and expanded services to Wilmington, NC in 2016. It offers in-person and telehealth (since 2017) speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing (dysphagia) evaluations and treatment for pediatric and adult clients, including VitalStim Therapy, dysphagia treatment, pediatric speech services, and Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT). Note: this is a distinct company from the unrelated, larger consumer teletherapy subscription service "Better Speech" (betterspeech.com), which shares a similar name but different ownership and business model.
