About Autism Society of Oregon
The Autism Society of Oregon (ASO), founded in 1981 by parents of autistic children, is Oregon's leading nonprofit organization providing resources, education, advocacy, and support for individuals and families living with autism throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. ASO is the state chapter of the Autism Society of America. The organization assists approximately 1,400 individuals annually in locating services and supports, sponsors support groups statewide, offers respite care funding, community events, and educational workshops — all at no cost to participants. NOTE: ASO is an advocacy and resource organization, not a direct ABA therapy provider; it does not employ BCBAs or RBTs in clinical roles.
