Applied Behavior and Learning Consultants, LLC is a small, independently owned ABA therapy company founded in 2017 by Dr. Angela Hess, BCBA-D, LBA in Thurmont, Maryland. The company provides assessment, consultation, and treatment services based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis for individuals with developmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorder, and Down syndrome. Services are delivered in-home, in schools, and in community settings across Carroll, Frederick, Montgomery, and Washington Counties in Maryland. ABLC utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches including PEAK, Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACTr), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Precision Teaching, and Direct Instruction. The team includes staff at all levels of BACB certification (BTs, RBTs, BCaBAs, BCBAs, and BCBA-Ds) and emphasizes individualized, compassionate care with a focus on positive reinforcement and play-based learning. The company is a Frederick County Chamber of Commerce member and a designated Woman-Owned Business.
