About Andrews Center - Treatment & Learning Center for Autism (TLC)
The Treatment & Learning Center for Children with Autism (TLC) is the ABA therapy division of Andrews Center (Andrews Behavioral Health), a nonprofit community mental health authority in Tyler, TX. Founded in 2009, TLC is the only full-time, center-based ABA therapy facility in East Texas, serving children from 18 months to 21 years of age. The center offers three ABA programs: a Comprehensive Day Treatment Program (12-35 hours/week of intensive 1:1 ABA), a Focus Program (6 hours/week for ~6 months, grant-funded through Texas HHSC), and an Outreach Parent Training Program (3 hours/week). TLC's facility at 1722 W Front Street includes 15 classrooms, an activity room, a play deck, a fenced yard, and a fully operational kitchen/cafeteria. Staff include BCBAs, a BCaBA, and multiple RBTs who work one-on-one with children targeting self-care, academics, language, socialization, verbal behavior, play skills, and pragmatic language development. TLC uses standardized assessments including VB-MAPP, AFLS, ABLLS, FAST, FBA, FA, and BLAF. The center is closely connected to the local autism community, organizing the annual Tyler Run for Autism.
