About Alpine Learning Group
Alpine Learning Group is a nonprofit autism education and treatment center founded in 1988 in Paramus, NJ, and is one of the first ABA-based schools for autistic students in the United States. Founded by a group of New Jersey ABA practitioners and parents — including Bridget A. Taylor, Fred Bunker, Debra Gladstone, Mark Gladstone, and Linda S. Meyer — the organization opened in 1989 with four students in the basement of a local community house. Today, Alpine provides comprehensive, scientifically validated services across the lifespan, including a NJDOE-approved full-day school for ages 5-21, a Center for Autism offering insurance-funded ABA services and diagnostics, transition programs (Business and Success Academies for ages 14-21), and an adult program for ages 21+ through the Ely Center for Adult Learning. Alpine is recognized for its applied research contributions to behavior analysis, with staff publishing in scientific journals and presenting at conferences worldwide. The organization holds a 4-star Charity Navigator rating and is accredited by the National Association of Private Special Education Centers and the New Jersey Department of Education. Alpine also maintains a secondary location in Lexington, SC.
