About Albemarle Therapy Center
Albemarle Therapy Center is a pediatric outpatient therapy provider in Central Virginia offering occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy services. Founded around 2004 and operating for over 20 years, the center operates two clinics in Charlottesville and Waynesboro, VA. Both facilities feature sensory-motor gyms with suspended swings, trampolines, and climbing structures designed to support children in need of therapy, along with large treatment rooms for one-on-one work. The center treats children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, sensory processing disorders, fine and gross motor delays, speech/language delays, apraxia, dyspraxia, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and genetic disorders. Albemarle Therapy Center also provides Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers (ages 0-3) in partnership with local Infant and Toddler Connection programs. Owned by Kerrie Manthey, M.S., CCC-SLP since 2022, the center accepts most private insurance plans, Medicaid, and Medicare.
