About Advanced Institute for Development and Learning
The Advanced Institute for Development and Learning (AID-L) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Greenville, SC that provides pediatric speech-language pathology and feeding therapy services for children with special needs and their families. Founded around 2015 by Samantha Zimmerschied, AID-L serves the Upstate South Carolina region with individualized, evidence-based treatment. The organization also offers community support programs including respite care (Parents Night Out), Social Saturday events, and sensory-focused programming. AID-L treats over 250 children weekly and has served over 400 families. The clinical team specializes in speech and feeding therapy with approaches including AAC, Beckman Oral Motor, PROMPT, apraxia treatment, and feeding tube weaning. Note: AID-L does not provide ABA therapy services; it is a speech and feeding therapy practice.
