Oklahoma established behavior analyst licensure in 2009, making it one of the first states in the nation. OLBAB operates under DHS Developmental Disabilities Services Division. Applicants must hold current BACB certification (BCBA for OLBA, BCaBA for OCABA), submit application with proof of certification, pass background check, and pay prorated fees based on BACB certification time remaining.

Initial fees are prorated based on time remaining on BACB certification - not a flat fee. Temporary licenses available for out-of-state practitioners (30 days per calendar year). Military expedited processing available (59 O.S. § 4100.1). Board contact: OLBAB@okdhs.org, (405) 882-8620.
Licensure established November 1, 2009 under 59 O.S. §1928. July 2019: OHCA requires all BCBAs providing SoonerCare services to have provider contract approval.
Additional Information
Oklahoma was a PIONEER in behavior analyst regulation - establishing licensure in 2009, making it one of the first states in the nation. Unique fee structure: initial fees are prorated based on time remaining on your BACB certification (~$50/year for BCBA, ~$25/year for BCaBA). Board operates under DHS Developmental Disabilities Services rather than a Psychology or Medical board. April 30 odd-year renewal cycle is unusual. Military expedited processing available.
