Education Requirements

Must complete BACB-approved course sequence. Master's degree required for BCBA certification pathway.

Must complete BACB-required supervised fieldwork (1,500-2,000 hours). Experience verified through BACB certification.

Must pass BACB certification exam before applying for state license. No additional state exam required.

Biennial renewal, expires December 31st of even-numbered years. $100 active renewal, $75 inactive renewal. 32 CEUs required per cycle (including 4 ethics, 3 supervision for supervisors). $75 late fee for lapsed licenses. Compliance verified through random audit.

Initial License: $500 (prorated for cycle) + $50 one-time application fee = $550 total initial. Renewal: $100 (active), $75 (inactive). Late Fee: $75.

BACB certification required. Must pass BACB exam BEFORE applying for state license. Must maintain 32 CEUs per 2-year cycle (same as BACB requirement).
