Education Requirements

LBA: Must meet BACB BCBA requirements - master's degree in behavior analysis or related field with approved coursework. LaBA: Must meet BACB BCaBA requirements - bachelor's degree with approved coursework.

Must meet BACB supervised fieldwork requirements. LaBA must work under close ongoing supervision of LBA.

Must pass BACB certification examination (BCBA for LBA, BCaBA for LaBA). No additional state exam required.

Renewal requirements still being finalized under 172 NAC 86. Likely biennial renewal following BACB standards (32 CEUs every 2 years). Online renewal available through nebraska.mylicense.com. Must create new account each year for renewal.

Preliminary Application Conviction Review: $100 per license type. Application fee: Contact DHHS for current fee schedule (172 NAC 10). Regulations still being finalized.
