Detailed Requirements
LBA: Must meet BACB BCBA requirements - master's degree in behavior analysis or related field with approved coursework. LaBA: Must meet BACB BCaBA requirements - bachelor's degree with approved coursework.
Must meet BACB supervised fieldwork requirements. Provisional and temporary licenses available for those completing fieldwork under LBA supervision.
Must pass BACB certification examination (BCBA for LBA, BCaBA for LaBA). No additional state exam required.
Biennial renewal. Must complete 2 hours suicide assessment, referral, treatment, and management training each renewal cycle (since August 2018). CE requirements follow BACB standards (32 CEUs every 2 years, including 4 ethics). Renewal through MOPRO system.
Fees set by committee rule. Contact Behavior Analyst Advisory Board at 573.526.5804 or ba@pr.mo.gov for current fee schedule. Applications require photograph and fingerprints for Missouri State Highway Patrol background check.
