LBA: Minimum Master's degree or equivalent from accredited institution. LABA: Bachelor's degree meeting BACB requirements. Must possess current and active BACB certification.
Must meet BACB supervised fieldwork requirements. Experience verified through BACB certification.
Must pass BACB certification examination (BCBA for LBA, BCaBA for LABA). No additional state exam required.
3-year license cycle. CE Requirements: 12 hours per year (36 hours over 3 years), including at least 1 hour ethics/legal each year. CE must be approved by BACB or Mississippi Autism Board. CE reporting due June 30 each year. License cannot exceed BACB certification expiration. Renewals through online licensee portal.
Licensed Behavior Analyst: $250. Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst: $100. Temporary License: $75 (additional). Criminal Background Check: $35. Total Initial LBA: approximately $285. Payment by check or money order only.
