Must complete education requirements through BACB certification pathway. Master's degree in behavior analysis or related field required for BCBA certification.
Supervised experience as required by BACB certification standards (typically 1,500+ hours). Supervision must be provided by an Arizona-licensed behavior analyst.
Must pass the BACB certification exam. BACB is the only national certification board recognized by the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners.
32 continuing education units (CEUs) every two years, including 4 in ethics. Supervisors need 3 additional CEUs specifically about supervision. DPS fingerprint clearance card must be maintained.
Application Fee: $350 (non-refundable). Initial License Fee: $500 (upon approval). Reapplication Fee: $200. Supervised Temporary Licensure Application: $200. Telehealth Registry: $600 (one-time, no renewal). Fee waivers available for low-income applicants and military spouses.
